Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions. Psychology A-level appeals to a cross section of students, regardless of whether or not they have studied psychology before. Students study topics such as Psychopathology (abnormalities), Memory, Relationships, Eating behaviour and stress. Students will learn the fundamentals of the subject and develop skills valued by Higher Education (HHE) and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research.

What you need to get on

You will require a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grades 4-9, including English Language at Level 5 or higher. If you have previously studied Psychology at KS4, a minimum of Level 5 is required.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
