Psychology is a unique and challenging subject which will engage learners who are interested in understanding why people behave the way they do. Students are expected to formulate theoretical arguments, substantiate claims through research and establish causes of human behaviour. The course examines theories such as the ‘nature or nurture’ debate and applies theories to a range of topics including forensic psychology, and abnormality.

What you need to get on

A Level Study: To join the Sixth Form there is an entry criteria of five standard passes at GCSE (at least a Grade 4). This must include at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Maths at GCSE. Students will need to gain at least a Grade 4 in the subjects they would like to study at A Level. For biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, English literature, French, further maths, maths there are additional subject requirements, which are available upon request.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
