What the college says
The A Level covers Government and Politics of the UK in Year 12 and the US in Year 13. Students also study the political ideologies of Liberalism, Conservatism, Socialism and Feminism. They have access to multiple resources, including the most recent textbooks, a video platform called ‘Pre-Chewed Politics’, and copies of the national magazine, ‘Politics Review’, which Stamford School’s Politics teachers regularly contribute to.
What you need to get on
Grade 6 or above in either English Language or English Literature GCSE. Grade 6 or above in at least one Humanity GCSE is recommended.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
