Physics is a critical subject for the advancement of our world. All of the technological advancements in the 20th and 21st centuries have built upon our improved understanding of the universe, from the very largest structures, like galaxies, to the smallest structures, like quarks and leptons. Physicists aim to try to understand and to explain how and why things happen. They love to theorise, prove and disprove using both mathematics and by experimentation.

What you need to get on

Grade 6-6 or above in GCSE Combined Science or a Grade 6-9 in GCSE Physics. Grade 5-9 in GCSE Mathematics.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
