Physics is used to solve problems – health, environmental, social and technological. It’s about practical applications in the world around us but also involves concepts such as the origins of the universe and the smallest building blocks of the cosmos. You may wish to consider combining Physics with another Science or Maths course. The course we follow links all the theory to real world applications allowing us to see the relevance of what we are learning.

What you need to get on

6 GCSE/BTEC passes at Level 4 or above. If you would like to study Physics at A-Level it is desirable for you to achieve a Level 6 or above in Physics at GCSE. In addition, you would also need a Level 5 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
