You will develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles of Physics, gain hands on practical skills and data analysis skills, appreciate How Science Works and its relevance beyond the laboratory, see how Physics links to other sciences and how the subject underpins important technologies and study optional topics so that you can specialise in areas that interest you.

What you need to get on

Minimum entry requirement to the Arthur Terry 6th form: Gaining a minimum 33 points from a minimum of 7 GCSEs which must include English Language and Maths with a minimum point score of 4. Individual subject entry requirements must follow the Pathway entry requirements table also available on the Arthur Terry School website. Up to 2 BTEC/OCR National qualifications at Level 2 Merit can be used for 6th form entry. Each BTEC will count as 1 of the 7 GCSE grades Minimum subject entry requirements: 6 in GCSE Science (Core & Additional) or 6 in GCSE Physics and 7 in GCSE Maths plus 5 in GCSE English Literature or Language
