A-level physics is the study of everything and how it works, full of exciting questions and opportunities to prove theories that are still in doubt. The course aims to develop your understanding of how science contributes to the success of a society. You will learn about different areas of physics and how they relate to each other. You will also gain skills, knowledge and understanding of how science works which will prepare you for further study.

What you need to get on

Students must achieve 5 qualifications at Grade 4 or above to return to 6th Form at PCHS, in addition they must also achieve a Grade 6 in Physics at GCSE or 6-5 in Combined Science at GCSE. It is also recommended that students following this course achieve a Grade 6 in Mathematics at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
