Physicists explore the fundamental nature of almost everything we know. They probe the furthest reaches of the earth to study the smallest pieces of matter. Join then to enter a world deep beneath the surface of normal human experience. What skills do I need to be successful on this course? If you have an inquisitive mind and want to understand how the world works, the study of Physics will provide many of the answers. You will need strong mathematical skills and the desire to improve the accuracy and precision of your practical work.

What you need to get on

You need at least two grades 6 in GCSE Sciences (including Chemistry if you took triple Science.) You will also need a 6 in Maths (a 7 is recommended) and at least a 5 in English. It is advised that you consider studying Physics in conjunction with Maths A-level.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
