This course is for anyone moving on from GCSE with an interest in sport and physical education. You might be choosing it because you're headed for a career in the sports industry, though it will equip you with transferable skills such as teamwork, resilience and leadership that can be used in a wide range of careers. You'll need enthusiasm and a commitment to training and performing regularly in a chosen sport.

What you need to get on

Grade 6 or higher in GCSE PE in addition to representing either a school or club consistently in one sport. Students who have not studied GCSE PE can gain entry via a grade 6 in English and a grade 6 in a Science. APS of at least 5.5

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
