What you need to get on
Students will have mostly achieved grade 5s (or higher) across their GCSEs. You should have at least a grade 5 in GCSE English language and GCSE maths. Students should have a grade 5 in at least two other essay-based subjects - for example GCSE English literature, history or religious studies A good potential philosophy student will be someone who can think logically and objectively, can read and write carefully and critically, and has a willingness to contribute to debate.
