What you need to get on

Because of the musical content of the course, it is strongly recommended that Music Technology students have gained Grade 9-5 at GCSE Music, show an active interest in playing an instrument/singing, and can read basic notation. An interest in, or experience of using, music technology software to compose, sequence or record music would also be an advantage.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
