This qualification develops the mathematical concepts you will have learned at GCSE whilst enriching your understanding of how mathematics can be applied to realistic situations. It emphasises how mathematical ideas are interconnected and how mathematics can be applied to model situations using algebra and other representations, to help make sense of data, to understand the physical world and solve problems in a variety of contexts. Advanced Level Mathematics prepares students for further study and employment in a wide range of disciplines. The course is assessed through three equally-weighted papers: * Paper 1 - Pure Mathematics * Paper 2 - Pure Mathematics and Mechanics * Paper 3 - Pure Mathematics and Statistics All exam papers are calculator based and you will need to obtain a graphical calculator at the start of the course.

What you need to get on

Grade 7 or above at GCSE Mathematics. For all A Levels you will require a minimum 5 GCSES - 9-4.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
