Students will explore the structures of authority and power within the political system of the Rayleigh, Essex. This will include an evaluative study of the nature of democracy and political participation, and the structure of governance in the UK political system. As the course develops students will examine political ideologies, exploring different views, doctrines and theories, and evaluate the impact of these ideologies on societies and states.
