What the college says

You will study both physical and human aspects of our world, with a strong focus on how the two interact. The AQA course places particular stress on the management of change. As a geographer you will be interested in the world around you, asking questions and discussing issues such as: Why has this landscape developed in this way? and How is human action changing this environment? We cover aspects studied previously within the context of global issues, both environmental and economic; and develop our research and investigation skills. Students learn by research, discussion and group work, alongside engaging classroom instruction. Assessment is modular by examination at the end of each year in Y12 and in Y13.
