Students will study both human and physical geography units requiring application of scientific logic, principles, methods and laws. Topics covered include rivers, coasts, plate tectonics and ecosystems, providing an understanding of those these complex systems work and interact. The course also deals with issues covering population change, energy, and world cities, and the current issues and thinking regarding these topics. Field studies are designed to enable development and testing of personal hypothesis, and to encourage analytical capabilities in collecting and interpreting data.
