‘Studying Geography and the environment is critical to mankind.’ Despite living in an increasingly modern and seemingly manufactured world, mankind will forever rely on the environment. Whether it is the ability to grow crops, or the power to pre-empt natural disasters, the study of our environment and the geography of the planet plays a vital role. By studying Geography, you will gain a greater understanding of the world, the threats to our planet, and the opportunities created by it.

What you need to get on

Students must have gained a grade 6 (equivalent to a high grade C at GCSE level) as a minimum in Geography at GCSE. Students will have good analytical skills and be able to manipulate and present data. Students will have undertaken fieldwork and followed up the geographical skills learned in the field through the formal Unit 3 Geographical investigation. The ability to write extended writing and essays will be developed further during the course.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
