What you need to get on
To access A level courses students will have mostly achieved grade 5s (or higher) across their GCSEs. Ideally you should have a grade 6 in GCSE geography. You should have at least a grade 5 in GCSE maths. You should have at least a grade 5 in GCSE English language and/or literature. You should have at least a grade 5 in GCSE chemistry (or GCSE double science). You should have a keen interest in world events and news.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
