This course is for students who want to continue studying French after GCSE. It will suit you if you enjoy languages and want to develop your understanding of French culture and society. It takes time and dedication to become confident in a language so you'll need to be hard working and willing to persevere.

What you need to get on

Applicants will need to have a minimum of 5 grades 9-4 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics. Internal applicants who meet the minimum academic entrance requirements will be offered a place automatically (subject to availability of courses). All successful applicants will be required to sign a sixth form code of conduct in recognition of the Academy’s expectations of sixth form students in terms of their behaviour, punctuality and attendance.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
