At A Level you explore topics in much greater depth and also look at more adult themes such as marriage, abortion and the role of women in society. These may seem a far cry from talking about your holidays year 11! Some of the topics you will feel very strongly about and others may not interest you as much but you will still be expected to discuss them with confidence and conviction. Your opinion will play a much greater part than before.You will be required to research topics on your own and read widely around the subject; you will need to be more independent.

GCSE French you must have a grade 6 or above; 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
