What the college says
Students follow AQA French and are taught in a variety of ways incorporating listening, reading, writing and speaking. The course content looks at issues relevant to young people in society through the culture and language of the French-speaking world. It builds upon GCSE language skills through the study of topics such as TV, film, music, advertising, ICT, fashion, sports and health, friendships and family relationships.
What you need to get on
Grade 5 GCSE French. An interest in foreign cultures is essential, as is the confidence to speak in front of others.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
