This is a two year linear course, which offers the opportunity to investigate how film works. Cinema, as we know it, began in 1896 and over the last hundred years has developed to become one of the major art forms. It is able to communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty, and atmosphere, through the use of moving images. You will enjoy this subject if You enjoy a diverse range of films and am interested in how film can help our understanding of the world around us. You are interested in different types of films including mainstream, independent and experimental as well as how films have changed over time. You are a creative person and want to learn how to write and make films
