If you are passionate about the written word and inspired by literary arts, then perhaps an A Level in English Literature is for you. This course is suitable for anyone who is inspired by authors, poets, and playwrights and wants to gain a well-rounded knowledge of the cultural, social and political impacts that literature can have within society. This course will provide you with the opportunity to explore and analyse a range of different texts from varying periods and genres. You will be provided with an advanced knowledge of literary works from experienced and passionate tutors, who will share your enthusiasm for the written word.

What you need to get on

3 GCSE passes at a minimum of Grade 4 and 2 at Grade 5, which must include English Language or Literature and Maths at Grade 4.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
