What the college says

A Level English Language and Literature is a dynamic and engaging course that invites students to explore the richness of both literary and non-literary texts. Through the study of a wide range of genres, students develop the ability to analyse how writers craft meaning and how language operates in different contexts. The course encourages creativity and originality, offering opportunities to produce their own texts and reflect critically on the writing process. Students will investigate how English functions as a powerful tool for communication and expression, while also examining its structures, variations, and evolving usage. Independent research, debate, and enquiry are central to the course, fostering analytical thinking and confident interpretation.
