Studying A Level Product Design will give you the opportunity to develop designing and making skills using a wide range of media and processes. You will develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of materials, components and processes associated with the creation of products that can be tested and evaluated in use. You will gain an insight into the creative, engineering and manufacturing industries, and you will develop a critical understanding of the wider influences on Design and Technology including; cultural, economic, environmental, historical and social factors. This is a fast paced A Level where you will be learning through making.

What you need to get on

A minimum Attainment 8 score of 60. A grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths. A grade 6 in the subject you wish to study (or two grade 6s if you wish to study a science and took Combined Science at GCSE). How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
