In this course, focusing on Product Design, you will develop intellectual curiosity about the design and manufacture of sustainable products in an ever-changing world. We will explore, design, create and evaluate innovative solutions in response to real-world design contexts. You will develop a knowledge and understanding of the core technical, designing and making principles, as well as an understanding of the environmental challenges and wider issues of design. The A-level is linear; as well as non-exam assessment (NEA), you will sit two exams at the end of the two-year course.

What you need to get on

6 GCSE/BTEC passes at Level 4 or above. It is desirable to achieve a Level 5 or above in this subject at GCSE (or a related subject).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
