This creative and thought-provoking qualification gives students the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a number of careers; especially those in the creative and engineering industries.The qualification is aimed at students who have followed a GCSE Design and Technology course in Engineering, Graphic Products, Product Design, Systems and Control or Resistant Materials. It allows students to continue developing their design and problem solving skills through design, practical and theory activities.

What you need to get on

Three or more grade 5’s with the remainder at least grade 4 (including English Language and Maths at grade 4).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
