What the college says

This A level subject is for students who want to continue studying Textiles at Level 3. To ensure success, study at Level 2 (GCSE) is desirable but not essential where an enthusiasm, aptitude and skill level can be demonstrated. Identical to the product design syllabus, but focusing on fabric as a material, it is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject and one that will encourage you to use creativity and imagination when applying iterative design processes to the design and making cycle.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs at grade 4+ and a grade 5 or above in GCSE Textiles.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
