What the college says
Students will develop dance technique, choreography and appreciation skills of dance as an art form. It encourages the students’ creativity, their intellectual capacity, alongside transferable skills of communication, team working and problem-solving. Students’ approach to performance and choreography is underpinned by the study of professional dance through the integration of theory and practice. Students will be inspired by studying a range of dance styles in both historical and contemporary contexts throughout the duration of the course.
What you need to get on
Grade 9-5 (A*-C) in five GCSEs including English and Mathematics. Plus, a minimum Grade 6 in GCSE Dance or related subject or Merit in BTEC Dance/Performing Arts.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
