The new linear A level focuses on programming and emphasises the importance of computational thinking as a discipline. The course also has a focus on Maths, though much of this will be embedded in the course. Students will solve problems and design systems and software and will apply the academic principles learned in the classroom to real world systems.

Grade 7-9 in Mathematics if not studied at KS4.
