This A level subject is for students who want to continue studying Chemistry at Level 3. Is there a more vital subject to study at post-16 than Chemistry in today’s world? Chemists tackle important topics such as climate change, renewable energy, acidification of oceans, development of new materials such as graphene, biotechnology, and of course medicine and pharmaceuticals. All of these have Chemistry at their core and this course will allow a deeper understanding of many of today’s issues.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs at grade 4+ and a grade 5 or above in at least 1 Science GSCE (or alternatively teacher recommendation).

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
