Do you enjoy learning how things work? Do you enjoy solving complex problems through experimentation and mathematics? If so then studying A Level Chemistry is the subject for you! We work in small classes learning through practical experimentation and theoretical learning. This is followed up with regular assessment to help prepare for your exams at the end of year 13. We encourage research around the subject and encourage deep thought about the relationships between quantities.

What you need to get on

GCSE Chemistry 6 and GCSE Maths 6 or GCSE Combined 6-6 and GCSE Maths 6 Studying A Level Chemistry requires strong analytical, evaluative and mathematical skills. On top of this you need to be confident working practically and have a good understanding of scientific method. These skills are all needed across multiple degree courses and studying a Chemistry degree opens many doors into further study.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
