Business Studies offers an invaluable insight into the wide world of work from the point of view of a number of stakeholders such as entrepreneurs, managers and workers. Students will be able to investigate real life businesses and analyse reasons for their success or failure. The course also gives the opportunity to develop a wide variety of skills such as team work, communication and presentation techniques as well as developing your abilities in decision-making and problem solving.

What you need to get on

Route 1: Grade B in Business Studies GCSE and Grade 6 in either English Language or Mathematics with grade 5 in the other subject. Route 2: Grade 6 in English Language and Grade 6 in Mathematics where Business Studies has not been studied at GCSE. Satisfactory academic and attitudinal references are required for both routes.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
