Business is front-page news. The way companies operate is under greater scrutiny than ever before, while TV programmes like The Apprentice and Dragon’s Den have raised the profile of Business to a new generation. This course enables students to engage with, explore and understand business behaviour and develop a critical understanding of what Business is and does. It offers students an insight into the world in which they will eventually be working in.

What you need to get on

Minimum 34 points including a minimum grade 4 in Mathematics and English. It is not essential that students have previously studied a Business related course at GCSE level. However, it is important that students have strong numerical abilities as A-Level Business assesses quantitative skills, making up a minimum of 10% of the overall marks. The skills tested include ratios, averages, fractions, percentages and calculation of prot and loss.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
