16-19 year olds. Biology A Level will allow you to study familiar concepts from GCSE in much greater detail. The lessons will consist of small group teaching where there will be an increased emphasis on developing scientific enquiry skills as well as deepening your level of understanding in all topics. You will be taught in a bespoke Biology lab and have access to specialist equipment to enhance your practical skills.

What you need to get on

> If you have taken Combined Science you must have at least a grade 6 in each (including 6s in the Biology units). If you have taken Separate Sciences you must have a grade 6 in Biology and a 6 in Chemistry and Physics. As well as these science GCSEs you must have a minimum grade 6 in Maths

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
