GCE A Level in Art (Fine Art)
at Cromwell Community College, Chatteris · college
What the college says
This is a broad-based course that allows learners to explore and create artwork in more than one area of Art & Design. Students spend time in year 12 exploring practical workshops across different art disciplines, before selecting and specialising in a chosen area of interest.
What you need to get on
Due to the skill-based nature of the course it is a requirement that you have achieved a grade 5 or above in GCSE Art, Photography or Textiles or any equivalent visual arts-based course. However, a varied portfolio of work with evidence of strong drawing skill would be considered in the absence of an Art & Design GCSE or equivalent.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
