Geography offers a strong foundation in both Physical and Human Geography and in practical applied skills. A wide range of global issues will be covered such as population growth and implications for the future, globalisation and its effects in different countries, and physical topics such as glacial systems, ecosystems and their management, and the water cycle. Fieldwork is an integral part of the course and will be examined. There will be an opportunity to take part in a residential fieldwork visit in March of Year 12 and also day visits during Year 13.

5 X 9-4 Grades, including 9 – 4 English and Mathematics Geography GCSE Grade 5 or above.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
