What the college says
The A Level Biology qualification is a two-year course, following the Edexcel GCE qualification. A range of topics are followed, with the aim of developing essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of the subject and how they relate to each other, competence and confidence in a variety of practical, mathematical and problem-solving skills and an understanding of how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society. A strong desire to study Biology is required along with strong grades at GCSE.

A minimum of a grade 6 in GCSE Science and Mathematics and a grade 4 in English (plus general entry requirements)

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.

Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Not on the Section 96 list, but a school or college runs it full time, so check the age range with them.
