If you have an interest in the production of computers games, then this course is for you. This course will give you an introduction into the three main areas of expertise you will need to succeed in a variety of roles within the gaming industry. The three main areas you will study involve - game engine interaction, audio production and programming, video production and research. Therefore, you will be involved in creating gaming worlds, scene creation, character creation, audio production opportunities and video production opportunities. You may also be involved in gaming competitions and mini esports events.
What you need to get on
For the Level 2 Diploma you will need 4 GCSE�s at a grade 3 or above, including maths and English.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
