This course is the perfect introduction for anyone looking to get to grips with the basics of developing computer games. You will touch on many areas of the games-building process, from games scripts through to environments, characters, animations and levels. You will work towards a final major project where you will develop a basic functioning game level.

What you need to get on

Three or more GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English (Language or Literature).

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
