The further maths course consists of A level Maths in year 1 followed by A level Further Maths in year 2. This means at the end of 2 years you will have achieved 2 A levels. Further Maths therefore counts as 2 of your A level chocies. You can choose to study this alongside one other A level or A level equivalent, or alongside 2 other courses. You do not need to also apply for A level Maths. The course is made up of Pure Maths (algebra, graphs, trigonometry and Calculus), and a choice of 2 of Mechanics, Statistics or Discrete Maths.
