p This is an 8 week course scheduled for one evening a week and aimed towards those with no or some basic woodworking skills. You will be guided in the use of hand tools to create multiple small set projects that will cover many fundamental skills and techniques required in furniture making. /p p This training includes an introduction to basic hand tools use and maintenance. You will be guided through the creation of a variety of different woodworking joints such as dovetails (a classic furniture making joint). What you need to get on
p The course is suitable for those interested in starting a new hobby and to develop new skills. The course also acts as an introduction to some of the content featured in our full time courses. /p p Applicants must be aged 19 and over to join this course. /p

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
