Functional Skills Mathematics Level 2 qualification: The purpose of Functional Skills Mathematics Level 2 qualification is for learners to demonstrate both mathematical skills at the appropriate level and the ability to apply mathematical thinking effectively to solve problems successfully in the workplace and in other real life situations. ***This Level 2 course is needed for most jobs and university courses if you don’t already hold GCSEs in these subjects.

What you need to get on

Acceptance onto the course is by assessment or progression from Level 1 qualification in Functional Skills Mathematics. You will need to bring evidence of your highest Mathematics qualification. Before starting the course, you will be asked to complete an assessment to find out what you already know and understand.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
