Functional Skills English Level 1 qualification: The purpose of the Functional Skills English Level 1 qualification is to prepare the learner for work, study and life. Learners who achieve this qualification will demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, listen and communicate in English clearly. Learners will be able to apply these skills effectively to a range of purposes in the workplace and in real life situations as required.

What you need to get on

Acceptance onto the course is by assessment or progression from Entry Level 3 qualification in Functional Skills English. You will need to bring evidence of your highest English qualification. Before starting the course, you will be asked to complete an assessment to find out what you already know and understand.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
