What the college says
The English functional skills qualification aims to boost confidence around written English, as well as providing you with a great qualification to increase career opportunities or open the door to apprenticeships and other learning accreditations. This course is learner-led and entirely online, meaning you can access it whenever works best for you. With good engagement, this course can be completed in 3-5 months. You will have the option to sit the exams online or at our test centres in Tonbrige or Croydon, either through City & Guilds as the awarding body or NCFE.
What you need to get on
This course is suitable for any person motivated to obtain their functional skills qualification and has access to a computer to complete the online learning.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
