This FREE course is intended for anyone wishing to develop their maths skills and will focus on basic skills and how to apply them in everyday life. You can progress through the Functional Skills levels gaining nationally recognised qualifications. Why study this course? You can study on-campus with daytime and evening study options available at our Adult Learning Centre.
What you need to get on
Learners are required to be aged 19 or over (on August 31 2025). You will undertake an initial assessment to determine what level you are currently working at and what level of course is right for you.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
