AQA - The French A Level course aims to foster a love and appreciation for the French language and French and Francophone culture. We study French as an influential European language and through cultural studies, students knowledge of the French language is broadened. We explore a range of viewpoints on issues that are current in todays world such as human rights, politics and the role of the media. We study Francophone countries. We also study the film La Haine by Mathieu Kassovitz. Students will become confident communicators who can express themselves and their points of view clearly. Language skills are highly sought after by both universities and employers and French is highly desirable, as it is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.

Grade 5 in GCSE French and Grade 5 in GCSE English
