With the Foundation Pathway in Hair and Beauty, you can kickstart a career in hair and beauty as you learn the skills needed to progress. You will also be given the opportunity to gain English, Maths and IT qualifications alongside the programme. Upon completion of the course, you can progress to a higher-level hair and beauty study programme at college, or onto an apprenticeship. We can give you advice and information to help you plan your next step, whether you would like to study another course in the college or somewhere else, or are looking to enter employment. We will provide you with the opportunity to develop vital employability and independence skills through our learning companies. Our partnerships with external organisations and employers are central to giving you the tools you need to have a successful future. We accept Foundation Studies students who want to start within the academic year. What you need to get on
The only entry requirement is that you have a successful interview with a member of the course team in order to ensure that we can fully meet your needs We are looking for young people with an enthusiasm to learn and a desire to make progress. We want applicants to actively take part in keep warm activities set by teachers before starting in September. How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
