If you’re 17 or older and passionate about a career in sport, fitness, or personal training, this course is the perfect launchpad into one of the UK’s fastest-growing industries. This dynamic programme provides a deep dive into the sport, fitness, and personal training industry. You’ll gain a broad understanding of the sector while developing the practical skills and knowledge you need to thrive. The course includes YMCA Level 2 and 3 Personal Trainer qualifications, along with embedded work experience, to give you valuable hands-on insight into the industry. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to pursue professional recognition with leading organisations such as REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals) and CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity). You’ll meet the industry standards for both Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer, equipped with in-depth knowledge of training principles, techniques, and the science behind them. You'll also explore the real-world role of a personal trainer -how you can inspire others, support their wellbeing, and change lives through fitness. Alongside this, you’ll develop key transferable skills in confidence, communication, and time management - crucial tools for any successful fitness professional. You will need to have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above, including Maths and English
