At the root of all film studies is a recognition that films are made: they are constructed using a range of elements – the key elements of films form. All films studied throughout the course will be analysed through an exploration of these key elements; how filmmakers use these key elements to create meaning and responses and the contexts in which these films are produced.

Five GCSE passes at Grade 5 or above including GCSE Grade 5 in English Language or English Literature
