This course is perfect if you are passionate about fashion and want to learn how the fashion retail industry works. It is ideal for students who enjoy creativity, trends, and working with people, and who are interested in developing skills in styling, merchandising, marketing, and customer experience within the fashion business.
What you need to get on
You’ll need 4 GCSEs at grades 9–3 (A*–D), including English Language and Maths – one of English Language or Maths must be grade 9–4 (A*–C). Functional Skills Level 1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills Level 2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C) or above.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
